  • Hey Chuck,

    I am a 2 handicap and I have a question...

What makes the hiss that you hear in like a 3 wood shot, I know it's compression but, I would like to know if that is when the club is coming into the ground steeper or if it's more along the ground? Thanks

  • @shapoopydoopy It's all about compression and a square strike. That creates high initial ball speed and that's what creates the hissing sound.

  • @cquinton Then how come some times when you hit it really far it doesn't hiss? I love the sound but is there some way to get it everytime?

  • @shapoopydoopy I'm sure there is some physics expert that may have some technical explanation for this, but I think one thins is that because the ball is coming off the face much faster and moving down range faster, there is less time to hear it. As an example, I've followed Tiger around at the Tavistock Cup where you're standing only a few feet away from him on every shot and on longer shots, the sound of the swoosh of the swing and the impact, especially with the driver is sometimes louder....

  • @cquinton ....than the hissing of the ball. However, stand 30 or 40 yards down range of the same shot and you definitely hear the hiss.

  • @cquinton So what youre are saying is when the ball is moving a little faster you can hear it as much or if it moves faster down range you hear it more? I have heard good players that hit the ball way far have the hiss on like their 6 iron. I just want to know how I could get that hiss a lot more often.

  • @shapoopydoopy The key to hearing this sound is truly simply solid, square contact with the club delofted. If done correctly, you can even hear this on 50 yard punch shots.

  • @cquinton What is the highest lofted club that you hear that hiss we were talking about?

  • RST is simple & effective! I encourage anyone who wants to improve their ball striking, should try-out Rotary Swing, especially beginners & high handicappers.

  • i like the tool but i tend to bring the club inside and was wondering if the RST connect would help with that i do try to practice the perfect takeaway but its that middle point where i think is fine and bring it up the club and its not on plane. thank you
