  • Hey everyone, I first had problems, I couldnt get the emails to go through or redirect me, I found out for some reason in the "action" part /gdform.php didnt work, I ended up finding I should put in "_gdForm/webformmailer.asp" instead and it worked fine!

  • Hey enfinite5, thanks for your comment. Yeh that one is for the windows godaddy formmail. If you are using the linux hosting account then it will be gdform.php

  • Awesome tutorial- one question...

I've read that google will penalize/block your page if its spider bots detect any hidden text... this doesn't refer to the hidden forms explained here (recipient/redirect) do they? Thanks mate.

  • Hey thehognias, thanks for your mail. Those hidden fields you are talking about is where people hide keywords on there website to try and get better rankings, they always fail because google is more smart. Adding contact hidden fields you do not get penalized for at all. If you look at google shopping cart or paypal shopping cart they are all hidden fields that hold information about the cart, exactly the same as this, they hold information for your form

  • Hello this is an extremely helpfull video but i have one issue i have completed everything and did the /gdform.php is there anything i pu t before this or after like an email?

    Thank You

  • Hey chance3111, thanks for your comments. Are you using godaddy if so then this should be it. What i would check is that you have the formmail in your ftp or back office. Also check which package you are using. Godaddy has windows package or linux package. Windows package uses the webformmail.asp at not the gdform.php. Let me know how you get on

  • Hi, Thanks for the video. I have a standard php form which work in almost in all the servers but not in godaddy. I was struggling to make a form to work in godaddy for the past one week. And your video has helped me. Thanks a lot.

  • "Cookin on Gas!!!" I love it. Cheers!

  • @TheDrummerPhilip When I use the _webformmail.asp it sends me to a broken link, but when I use /gdform.php it redirects perfectly. The only problem is that I checked my email (yahoo rocketmail to be specific) and I didn't receive the email. Help please!

  • Hey. This is an awesome tutorial and thanks for all the help. I have my entire website up for my business, but my contact form is the only thing not working. I don't want to send people there yet in case they try to contact me through the form for fear that I will miss important emails. I followed all your instructions and everything works. I am using windows 7, but my hosting account was accidently set up as a linux account. That hasn't affected anything else though.
