The Joker has become a worldwide success for Steve Miller with its unusual lyrics and sound. Particularly, in sound, the "wolf-whistle" noise emitted by a bottleneck on a guitar. As far as lyrics go, "pompatus" was the most peculiar. This one baffled musicians for a long time, as did his lyrics relating to his other songs. The Steve Miller Band released The Joker on their album "The Joker" on October 1973.

  • Why r u using a 6 string for a bass.

  • @pandaman030 It's actually a 5 string, bro. And I use it for a little more range. It was an upgrade from my first bass, but nowadays I use a 4 string fretless.
