A quick lesson of the major parts of this great song by the Black Crowes. Played on a 2009 Martin Custom OM-42. I am in a straight open G tuning and have the capo on the 4th fret.

  • @RBABAR

I just finished my "Thorn In My Pride" video, I will upload tonight after get off work.

    Plase check it out.

  • Excellent.

Soon, I'll upload my version of this, not even close to the great sound you have.

On my classical (nylon stringed), I play it in drop D tuning (not correct)... but I played it by memory... and ear. I think I capo'd it on the 4th fret also. I recorded it in my studio, also played keyboard drums... (bad choice). I'll send to you after it gets uploaded.

    Cheers.

  • Yea! Great! I love the fact that I can see a close up of the fretting structure of the notes, but it would be better if I could see the other hand picking the strings in the order that they go as he plays it. Time to buy the sheet music and look at the TAB's on it.

  • Thanks a million. All the tabs I found were missing the mark, and I never would have figured this out on my own.
