@dt28469 I never said they were less intelligent. I was talking about the middle ages when poor people didn't go to school and couldn't read were taken advantage of by the wealthier and more intelligent Christians. I wouldn't say we are predisposed to believe in divinity either. We are predisposed to seek explanations for things, and those without access to science turn to the divine. People aren't born 'religious' either, otherwise everyone would have the same God and belief system.

He brought up Bill O'Reilly because he lost the debate with O'Reilly. O'Reilly by the way is a Harvard Graduate. Not so worth watching.. , O'Reilly didn't give a strong argument, just Dawkins didn't have a good response. Cenk Uygar also saw Bill won that debate. Though nothing special as mentioned. Bill O'Reilly isn't as his strongest in religion debates either. and I think Atheism is the correct position.

That was weak. All Dawkins said in this was O'Reilly wasn't smart. So, by the same argument... I'm smart and Mr. Dawkins is not. FTW. Oh, wait... I don't have the ratings that Mr. Dawkins has, do I. This video has too many 'likes' for my taste. But, I wonder how many people actually have an open mind when it comes to him(Richard Dawnins)? He leaves a lingering thought... Is he the guy who will turn atheist believers into an organized "religion?"

@MrRamon2004 No one kills in the name of atheism because atheism just means someone does not believe in a higher power. It isn't a system of values or morality. Russians and Chinese and Koreans kill and oppress in the name of their leaders and as a result of ignorance, economic troubles and societal oppression- the leaders, in many ways, became deities themselves.

@WisePatman Most of the people he meets know a lot less about evolution and science than he does. He should tell them when they are wrong. In any case, r u defending O'Reilly? -the same guy with a "patriots vs pinheads" segment? The issue here is not actually about intelligence but knowledge and the ability to use what intelligence one has. If a person is intelligent, and yet only goes so far as to believe something simply because his/her parents believed, it isn't wise.

Your comment is a perfect example of anti-intellectual crap that keeps people in the dark ages. How is it that you consider practicing the same religion that was practiced by people who believed in sucking out the bad blood intelligent? And please do not talk about Dawkins as if it is about wealth. Have you seen where the pope lives?
