In this role, you will be supporting our team through ensuring systems integrity and efficiency while analyzing, introducing, and integrating new technologies. Working in a collaborative team environment, you will be able to independently problem solve, taking initiative to work towards goals. You will also be responsible for

Performing routine analysis and audits of our systems and software
Procuring, installing, and configuring new hardware and software
Ensuring functionality of network infrastructure
Required Skills

8-10 years of Linux Administration Experience , RedHat and/or SUSE
Experience supporting centralized management systems & Satelite Servers
Familiarity with industry best practices for Linux server security
Ability to implement organizational security standards on the Linux platform
Experience

Automated software update mechanisms such (yum, up2date and apt-get)
Software configuration and installation
Rackmount, Blade & Virtual Machine Deployments
VMware (3.x & vsphere 4.x)
NFS and SMB implementation and the configuration of static mounts
Logical volume management, RAID, NAS, SAN, HBAs and multipathing
Oracle Databases & RAC
Linux & Veritas Clustering
Configuration of Apache 1.x and 2.x, and SSL setup
Proficient in scripting (Bash, Shell, Perl)
Unix OS platforms desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication-
Demonstrated oral and written communications skills
Enjoys working in a collaborative, team environment
Independent problem-solving, self-directed, and takes initiative
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong documentation skills

GPFS & Veritas VxVM
High Performance Computing
Scientific or academic environment experience
Education

Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent xperience
10+ years of related experience
