Joker's statement about the duality of man is what this movie is all about. That one line summarizes the entire theme of the film. When you watch the film from that point of view - duality - you will see hundreds of examples of it. Such an awesome movie.

@Shaun17170 - It's representative democracy, at least half the country is full of themselves all of the time. Makes for terrible arguments, then terrible messes, then arguments over who created the messes, then statements like "Never again!" Then we do it again.
