Yeah I agree... but a gang of armed activists did storm the site a month ago and wrecked the place with a hijacked digger! Good on ye lads! I prefer direct action instead of hippies holding hands and thumping bongos... At least it gets something done.

They are protesting against a tyrannical, illegal, Shell gas project that is extremely harmful to the environment and the locals, which has threatened peoples' lives. And your generalisation that these are all hippies is just ignorant. It's your tax money that is funding a completely illegal multi-national corporation to force the Rossport people to live with a giant pipeline and refinery, and a damaged environment.

Seriously, this is the reason I wouldn't get directly involved in this campaign. Its an important issue buts its been completely hijacked by these type of professional protesters.
One there even has an English accent, and clearly as has been reported from those who have took part in the protest, more than half the campaigners are non-Irish hippies with no real stake other than to piss off Shell.
