First section is a post-processed time lapse of the 23 May 2007 Roberts County, Texas mesocyclone occlusion from dash mounted video (was not originally envisioned as a time lapse so there unfortunately are a few abrupt camera shifts). Shows evolution of the inflow tail, RFD and tighter circulation.
Second section is a repeat of the zoomed in section on the tighter circulation in real-time. No clear cut indication of rotation at the surface but it is interesting to see the apparently laminar surface of the tighter circulation.
Score composed, and all instruments played, for this video by Patrick Kerrin, copyright 2009
