  • @aexclaim Also, a 4500lb SUV is no problem the system is rated for 6000 lbs. The bigger issue is height. If you are setting this up in a residential garage there's usually limited ceiling height.

  • @aexclaim There is no "balance" in the sense of weight. It's bolted to the floor. You need strong concrete and five 7/8" holes precisely drilled for the anchors. If you mean "square", I used a laser level and a tape measure. Simply measure the distance between the towers at the base and the top, they need to be the same, if not, add shims under the base to tip the tower forward or back so they are parallel. I glued the shims to my base so I don't have to repeat the procedure every time.

  • have you tried lifting an SUV with this kind of jack (4500lb)? how do you know that the whole thing is balanced? (I noticed that the arms should be equi-distant between the tires)
