@spacecowboy5000 Vinyl? Wow. I've only got my dear old and worn tape (nearly as old as the album), Big Science on one side, Mr. Heartbreak on the other. Btw - I suppose you'll have found out by yourself by now, but there are a lot of vids from Home of the Brave, and they include all or nearly all songs from Mr. Heartbreak. It's the kind of stuff that sometimes make me LOVE youtube despite all the garbage I constantly stumble across.

@synkyb I bought "Mr. Heartbreak" when it was first released - on vinyl! Thanks for the heads up. I'll be looking for that live version.

@spacecowboy5000 Check out the original version from Laurie Anderson's Album "Mr. Heartbreak" (one of the best Albums EVER anyway!), it's even better. The rhythm track is, IMHO, A LOT better, the singing is more or less identical. The title there is "Excellent Birds", not "This is the Picture" as on Gabriel's Album. Too bad it's not on Youtube. But there is a live version from "Home of the Brave". If you imagine Peter Gabriel's voice instead of the backing singers, you've got the original.
