My 2007 Suzuki GS500F. It's a great bike to learn on without growing out of too quickly. Has decent power and faily light weight and doesn't look too bad. Also has excellent fuel economy...around 50mpg or so. Anyway, here's how she looks after a few mods (I bought her used but in mint stock form). I shot video riding home but the connector came loose so I'll post up a new riding video once the weather clears. Oh and special shout out to the misquito that was sucking blood out of my finger while shooting this.

Zero Gravity Double Bubble windscreen
Yoshimura TRS SS Slip-on Exhaust
K&N lunchbox (completely replaces stock airbox)
Mikuni Rejet 20/65/147.5
Fenderectomy
2005 GSX600 (Katana) rear shock
Sonic 0.9kg/mm fork springs
Suburban Machinery Type-2 (SM2) handlebars
JT 15T sprocket (stock was 16)
Progrip tank protector and gel grips
12V accessory outlets
Garmin Nuvi GPS on rammount handlebar mount
Blue LED guage cluster bulbs
Sylvania Silverstar headlight bulb
AXIO tail bag (Carbon fiber look)

Mods yet to be installed:

  • nice bike I think I may have to get one but one question i weigh 240 do you think it will do highway speeds at my weight?

  • @newtechfan You'll be fine. I'm not a small guy either (around 230lbs) and as you can see in the videos, the bike still flies. One thing I highly recommend is changing the front sprocket from 16teeth to 15 like I have on mine. It makes the revs higher for any given speed which means you'll be in the power band longer.

On that note, I did sell this bike this past weekend. I have plans to upgrade but needed to funds right now to purchase a hardtop for my s2000.

  • Wish I was as technically minded as you, and had enough money to do all those nice things to mine. Looks great bro.

One suggestion which you may have done by now, but I'd replace the footpegs to sportier ones as the big rubber stock ones look a bit crap.

  • Hehe...I actually did replace the footpegs about a week after I did this video.

  • just got one of these but its a 2000. where did you get the blue led bulbs?

  • Sweet, same bike I have. But man, those bar ends...I replaced mine with 1 inch chrome. The stock ends were so damn long and ugly. Love the tailbag, though. I need to get one; sick of the backpack lol

  • thats exactly what i was looking for my fz6 where did you get them

  • i just got one of these bikes this past week they are so nice.

  • What kind of rear seat bag is that?

  • I just bought a slightly used 2011 Suzuki gs500f for $3500 with 1,500miles on it. It's my first bike but I want to get some mods on it. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Hi I also have an 07 GS500F. I wanted to do a slip on and K&N lunchbox. Do you remember what size jets you put? I had red the following for a slip on and lunchbox:

    pilot jets #22.5

    mid-main jets #65

    main jets #147.5

    3 #3 washers (on needle)

    2.5 turns out (pilot)

  • going on 3 years with my gs500! was only planning on a year or two but its been good enough for me.. cant wait to upgrade tho, keep riding stay safe

  • Had mine for nearly two years. Great easy bike to ride! Compared to the 250 I had before. But the finish on parts is not the best and has perished alot, even with minotinous care! Still love it.
