I am sensitive to noises as well. I use an air conditioner or an ionizer to drown out the sounds.

I have the same sensitivity to noise. all it takes it anything small or light enough to make a taping noise to get my attention. normally I ignore noises that are not serious. however, I have a tolerance limit when it comes to noises. unnecessary noises from neighbors had been an issue I had been going through mostly my entire life. I wear earphones to hear audio content from my computer and it had only muffled unnecessary noise. I feel the same way as you.

You have my sympathy, man!

I also have to endure a lot of noise in my $1336-a-month apartment. In my case, a defect in my upstairs neighbor's floor causes EXPLOSIVELY loud "cracking" noises over and over again, for hours at a time.

I may as well be living next to a shooting range, since I hear what sound like a rifle shot approx 80 times a day!

iuse a fan at nite because to quiet makes me crazy p.s those dry wall apartments makes a fart sounds like a nuke!

OMG! i have these neighbors that wont let us sleep in the morning!! they slam the medicine cabinet door..every door that can be slammed! we share walls..and you can hear EVERYTHING!! even them having sex!!! its very annoying!! tell me! what did you do? anything?
