Tuning = E B F# D A D

In this guitar lesson, I break down "Crosses" into 3 main parts. Covers the chord shapes, fingerpicking, technique, and how to approach playing in a Jose Gonzalez style.

At end of lesson, I play the entire song all the way through so you can see how parts link up.

  • It's so ace when you find really clear tutorials for songs online :) Good work!

  • @m4pk Glad to hear it was helpful, it's a fun song to play. If you ever have any requests let me know:)

  • Brett, the tuning in your description Is different than what you've said on the video? Is it ment to be DADF#Be like the video, or is it as written in the description ^ cheers

  • @12988Jake Hey Jake, It's supposed to be tuned like in the video. So, the low E string is tuned to D (drop D tuning) and the G string is tuned down to F#.

    Guess it was a bit confusing with the order of notes in the description. Description should read : D A D F# B e

    You got the song down? It's a bit tough at first to get the feel of it. Hope the vid was helpful:)

  • I know what Im learning this weekend..

  • *tuning

  • Cheers Brett, yeah it's coming along nicely now, I just can't seem to get it sounding neat, I think it's because tubing down the low e string makes it buzz on the fret wire, so probably need to sort the action out to stop this, but you can't have it all! Was a really helpful lesson though, thanks again mate

  • @samuel588 Yeah, they upgraded my account about 1 month ago to allow for longer than 15 min downloads, nice for rambling/going off on tangents and not having to cram everything under 10 or 15 mins lol -- 40 min vids! Wow, I'll have to check out your longer sets

  • Im sure youtube will let you upload longer videos than 15 minutes. Ive uploaded one of my 40 minute acoustic sets before, and youtube still allowed it. lol

  • @samuel588 Thanks, it's pretty tough teaching through video, but I'm figuring it out. Nice when Youtube allows for longer than 15 min, then I can ramble a bit without worrying lol
