...to the Lord. Whether some one from a denomination uses instruments or not, one thing they cannot do is deny that our singing is displeasing to the Lord since the command to do so is found in the Bible. If any one from a denomination is upset because it is all A cappella, then they are the ones with the heart issue not us.

When I went in late 08 the Baptists had the biggest bus. I was visiting from New Zealand and needless to say, I was surprised to see them there. We have nothing like the Diana singing in NZ so it was a wonderful experience. I'm completely unconcerned who was there, as long as the worship was according to the will of God and lead by faithful men. The Diana singing is a wonderful opportunity to reach out to those from the denominations and to find common ground to show our love through song...

I wanted to go to the Diana singing so bad, but I don't drive, and I didn't find out when it was until the day before, but I really hope I can go this year.

I can't reply directly to posts because that feature does not work with my screen reader, but to the person who said that people who go to other churches would be upset because it's a cappella, that's not true. I went to the a cappella singing they had at Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro, TN, and I absolutely loved it. (Continued)

@Donnyandmelissa Everyone is welcome to go to those singings. It doesn't have to be just "church of Christ" people. Although most of the denominational people will be upset that it's all acapella.

It is so upsetting to see these ignorant comments. Anyway so this annual singing is done with New testament christians? church of Christ?

Defending the scriptures against false teaching is not what you'd consider Christ-like? Maybe you've never read the NT?
And I've never said that everyone else is going to hell....2 Thess 1 says enough....
As for "only saved by grace"...then do we not need faith? Or His blood?
"Saved by blank only" is nonsense....demoninational...a

TruthChamp. He did not say Romans 16 means nothing. He said that YOU copping your DeMoNation's name from that scripture means nothing. Grow up!

ROTFL! You worship just as they did in the first century? I didn't realize all the Stamps and Baxter and other gospel music written in the 1800s and early 1900's in the USA was also around and used in the first century! LOL

Neither dickiebow 2003 or truthchamp strike me as very christ-like. I can see both sides of the argument, though. Truthchamp is the kind of self-righteous bozo people associate with the COC. I was raised COC and I NEVER heard it taught that everyone else was going to hell. Rather it was taught that NONE were worthy and were only saved by grace. I'm not religious by the way, but I admire the COC for their sincerity in trying to be true to the Bible. I mean otherwise, what's the point?
The church of the New Testament is not a denomination, we worship just as they did in the first century, it is not about entertainment for man but obedience to God's will, worship is for him not for man. If you were to go back to the first Christians, Acts 2:38, day of Pentacost, if you asked what denomination are you are part of, they would not answer, there is only one church, one body, one Lord, one faith, one baptism=Ephesians 4: 4 and 5. Upon this rock I (Christ) will build my church.

The bible tells us to us our voices and hearts to sing praises to Christ not instruments( Colossians 3:16). We need Bible authority to every act of worship to Christ.
