Did you guys not even watch the show? He was SUPPOSED to die, or else the helicopter wasn't going to come on the island and they weren't going to get saved.

also people don't usually survive that kind of crash, no such thing as smoke monsters, living forever, time traveling islands or polar bears jumping through space. the whole show is a bunch of unrealistic bullshit, that's what makes it so awesome.

Charlie could not have died by the way... Water could only have filled the room up to the top of the window as the air would not be able to escape. The window is large enough for him to have swam out, back to the boat. I'm not suggesting that Charlie is alive, I'm saying they made some mistakes on this scene.
