@SAPProd yeah, the trailer was done on super8 (which looks really impressively good on this), and the real movie was done on super16. i thinkt hey probably would have just done it all on super8 but it would prolly look like crap after being blown up to theater size.

Nothing against the movie itself, because it was so brilliant and hilarious, but MAN, I wish THIS was a completed alternate version of the film. The bad film stock just looks so authentic, the costumes and people feel more authentic, and there were a few scenes here that didn't have an analogue in the film proper. At the very least, I hope this is on the DVD/Blu-Ray disc.
