@smartipants123 Yup I agree with you, but all I know is that religion is used to justify human slavery; racial segregation; oppression of women; discrimination against homosexuals; mass murder terrorism, and genocide. There are people out their becoming enemies of each other because of religious differences. My suggestion is simple no religion - no religious hatred. I'm not saying don't blame the people blame the religion entirely. i'm just saying religion is the root where hatred begins.

@smartipants123 sorry if u were offended I was ignorant and just said what the news portrays Jihad to be. With both examples you can argue either way. But if you get rid off 100 people who misinterpreted you do not get rid of the root of the problem as there will be another 100 who misinterpret. I'm just saying why write text that can be misinterpreted? you can't get rid of misinterpretation of people but you can get rid of the text people misinterpret even if it preaches peace.

You are blaming the misinterpretted text (religion) where it is clearly the persons fault. And regarding Islam, I am a Muslim. Jihad means struggle in the the way of God NOT blowingyourselfupintoamillionp­iecesandthinkingyou'reamatyr. So don't try that argument on me. In Islam SUICIDE is wrong let alone killing another human being.

I understand where you're coming from that i should blame religious people but without the religion would those people still be causing hatred? I don't think so. If there was no Islam would there be Jihad? is the point i'm trying to make.
