I have been to many events holding around 10,000 (e.g., basketball games), and many with 100,000+ (Nascar races). I can say that this felt closer to 100K than to 10K.

BTW, the music in the video was recorded live at the event. I was close to the speakers & it was very loud Rock & Roll. ~VirginiaGent

I am not an expert on crowd size estimating, so you may take this with a grain of salt. I was told that the 3 sections (left, center, right) of the Capitol west lawn had a maximum capacity of 250,000. The center (largest) section was darn near full today. Based on that, I would guess that the crowd was in the neighborhood of 70-100K.

Politics works like this... every 8 years or so the country gets pissed at the leaders and there's a popular movement. Either MSNBC or Fox joins in on their preferred side.

Then the other party gets elected and it starts all over again. Give it 4 years of Republican rule and there'll be another movement against them.

Thats funny, I mean I support everything these people are doing. Only thing that makes me laugh is the fact that you NEVER see this many people together for a PRO-healthcare rally. I think that says volumes, and maybe our representatives should take notice to that.

as a charter Member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (MVRWC) I have never felt more proud of my fellow Americans as I have over the past few months!!

I hope you were able to make it over to the house office building Thursday as I did. I visited many representatives who are for this bill or on the fence and let them know I oppose it!

and to those who couldnt attend it is not too late! mak the trip, make a call, go to your reps local office!

I (Phil) was there Chalice, sorry I missed you, but my goodness it was crowded, I was on the lawn by 9:30AM and watched/took pictures of everyone, I assure you all, the body count is near 100,000, give or take a few...It was an amazing day...And I am proud to say, that we were allowed to say the Pledge To The Allegiance and we were allowed to PRAY...

5*** and a HUGE thank you, PatriotsHeart!!! Like 9/12 even O'Reilley kept WAY underestimating the size of the crowds..cuz he's jealous of Glenn Beck...I must've emailed him 100 times saying 70k? Really? Give me a break. There does appear to be upwards of 100k here, as well...God Bless you guys, for a job WELL done!!!
