Just to be fair, Miley's resolution was to be more careful about her diet & exercise, which is probably related to the fact that she has hypoglycemia (if she doesn't take good care of herself, she could become a full diabetic, go into a coma, etc). She's also helped with charity events, such as donating to the City of Hope cancer center.
From what I've seen, both Miley and Selena are both kind, friendly people who care about others, as opposed to being shallow & vain like Paris Hilton.
