Asking economist Alan Carlin for his professional opinion on scientific matters is like asking Martha Stewart for advice on setting the proper timing and carburetor adjustment for your big-block 1969 Camaro SS.

These people, in the face of possible global disaster, caused by us, are trying to spin it so we don't think it's us? Whats the difference between that wishing for global disaster for everyone? I really...cannot...believe this.

Not a scientists? Alan Carlin has a BS in Physics from the CA Institute of Technology. How many of you GW fanz have even that much? Test questions: 1. Percentage-wise, how much CO2 is in the atmosphere? 2. How much does that have to change to raise the average global temperature 1 degree F? I'll bet most of you have to look up the first and NONE of you can answer the second. Why not? BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS!!!! There is no proof of a direct link between increasing CO2 and global warming.

The whole (man made) Climate Change thing is so much rubbish, designed to con and enslave us by the same "flat earth" crowd that gave us the sudo-science of "Cold-fusion". Having wasted 30 Billion bucks on "models" my 10 year old could have written thankfully the Congress has turned of this waste of tax dollars. So lets start drilling for extra oil and ramp up the coal output so we are not at the mercy of the Mid-East and the voodoo in bed-sheet brigade.

He is not a scientist and his report was written by lobbyists at CEI and the Heartland institute.

The problem here is wording imo.
They should say "climate change" not "global warming".
Point is, we need to change our actions in order to make a difference in our planet's stability. Pressing on with environmental protection policy is a positive step which will spur on the development of sustainable energy sources. Burning fossil fuels is not the answer.

@BallisticGinger I don't believe George Bush or anyone in his family. Look up Prescott Bush, his grandfather and you'll see how corrupt the whole Bush family is.
This is so transparent it's laughable.
First, as some have noted, Carlin is an economist - not a scientist. EPA has lots of them because they recognize someone needs to understand economically what climate change means for the US in the long term.
Second, he obviously submitted his 'report' after the deadline for the EPA's annual report, so when they dismissed it (as they should have anyway) he could claim they 'suppressed' evidence and make a big deal out of it.
Just Republicans with tricks.
