Could u plz explain me why the lifter in my video response produces thrust towards the larger capacitor plate(the Al foil) although lifters should produce thrust towards the smaller capacitor plate, irrespective of polarity used.

completely cover the top of the bowl with led lights. and you will figure out how to program it to fly,just by watching the reactions of the lights when current is applied.

@coldsn It's kind of a dumb design, since it's producing a low pressure area below the craft. It's thrust would be much higher if there was a paper vent pulling air in before it goes up to the larger capacitor, and some paper around the outside to better direct the air downward

the thrust is pushing toward the larger electrode, but there's nowhere for the accelerated air to vent upward, so the rim of the top electrode redirects/ducts the flow out and down. That's also why it's so unstable.
