@svtlincoln ok ! you are right, and i always thinked like you, but how can you explain that this stock 300C goes to 55 on first, mine could go to 70 on first when it was stock, and since i got my CAI i can go to 90 ?
all my friend's 300C's are different on this point !
so i think the computer automatically changes the gear ratio in terms of performances of the engine !

@HEMIV894 Cold air intakes and exhaust don't prolong the gears... The top speed of a certain gear is determined by the gears ratio NOT engine mods. If yours goes to 90 in first then you have a different gear ratio than he does.

you go to 55 km/h on first gear, with just a cold air intake and a cat-back, i go to 90 km/h on this first gear !
