@Team3starftw it's best to avoid the conflict before it begins. the ref should have stopped the game and made his call, not just jump in front of the player and start yelling. I understand your point, but mine is pretty simple. don't cause the problem in the first place by rushing in and expecting the player to accept the call fairly. do you see NBA refs doing this? NO, you know why? because they've learned to avoid things like in the video.

@Team3starftw this is like saying that someone is dumb enough to step out in from of a semi even though the light is red and the semi hasn't stopped yet, the semi runs the red light and hits you. you may have been right in the fact that you had the right of way, but is it worth getting killed over? the ref should have used his brain and not confronted the player so rashly. I know the player was totally wrong, but the ref being right doesn't change the fact he's in the hospital.

@flamedrag18 The guy was making a call and waving his hand plus there was no touching till the player hits him. Also from the look of it he didnt even get to finish two words so there was no yelling. Theres no way the ref escalated the situation. And also how does he deserve a life threatening injury I dont care if you scream at the top of your lungs and make the stupidest call in the world you don't deserve that. And being emotional doesn't justify shit as an adult you have to control yourself.

interesting, the ref has the rules, but he should be a bit more careful about confronting a guy that's hyped up on adrenaline and yelling in thus player's face. I see this as a "don't escalate the situation, call the foul from afar so the player knows what he did wrong before you get up close and personal". I am in no way defending the player's actions, but he's not all in he wrong. imagine you doing something insanely emotional and some idiot gets in your face and starts yelling at you, think.

@Team3starftw it's more on the order of ref pushing and yelling at him while the player is hyped up on adrenaline and emotion. I know the player did wrong in hitting him, but the ref had it coming for not having enough brains to not pick on the big guy. the player did the foul, but the ref escalated the situation and got what he deserved.
