This is a small example of what can be done with a 3dconnexion Space Navigator, the driver for MIDI control by Stefan Werner/keindesign.de, and Ableton Live + Reaktor

  • I guess that after buying such a device you realize that there is a very limited amount of things that can be done with it, so this added use is welcomed. I would like to see game integration with this nice device. Maybe a game made exclusively for it...

  • actually, it was the exact opposite.. after buying this device, i realized that there is a huge amount of things that can be done with it!

  • Please respond promptly: I am thinking about buying one of these for the sole purpose of music applications. I am worried about a lot of accounts of it being somewhat inconsistent and glitchy. I want to know that it will work perfectly for PC. If you know which software helps it do so the best what would you recommend?

  • @GATORUI yeah exactly

  • I have one and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I really wish 3Dconnexion and Logitech would think outside the box with this device. There is SO much more that could be done with this thing as a user interface besides just CAD programs!

  • Hi, I would really like to know if this works with Apple Motion? would be great in the 3d space...

  • lol this comment is a credit to the german language.

  • what part of reaktor are you using here?

  • hall is scheisss - Rest gut

  • awesome. Do you know if theirs anyway to work this with midi on PC. I can't program at all.

  • It is actually very precise and very sensitive. Resolution is in the 10 bits range (1024 possible values per axis), which is much more than common joysticks. Sensitivity is fully adjustable.

  • 3dconnexion offers the sdk on their web site for free. The usage of the api is rather easy. I've just read, that "Second Life" features it for input.
