This fish started developing these teeth after 15 years in the habitat. I thought this kind of change would take thousands of years. The 15 years came from a statement Jeremy made earlier in this episode.

Also, have you ever heard that fishes mouths are one of the fastest healing parts on a fish. After a few days, wherever the hook tore their lip it should be fully healed. They flap around because they wanna get the hook out of them, NOT because their in pain you dumbass.

Fish flail because its their instinct to get out of the hook. Thats why bass jump and flap around because they know that they can flap the hook out.
