I decided to do a quick review of the JBJ Unibody LED fixture but sadly the video does not accurately depict the color of the light at all. I tried to demo most of the light's features so just ignore the extremely washed out colors and shaky camera. If you have any questions or comments please let me know.

  • Wow!Real nice how many of this would i need for a 40 gallon breeder tank? And were can i get this and how much do they go for?Love your tank real nice reef. Thanks keep up the vids:)Happy Reefing<3

  • @hhinojosareef1 You could definitely get away with 2 of these Unibody 54's and possibly 1 Unibody 108. I got mine from Marine Depot. The Unibody 108 isn't released yet, but it's going to be an impressive light with 108 watts and 36 LEDs total!

  • Edisons are used in boostLEds too only prob with the JBJ is that the bulbs are integrated, meaning, when it is time to change the bulbs you have to change the whole fixture. Unlike the AI for example since you talked about it, has removable bulbs.

  • @Jel0XD I doubt I'll have this fixture when it is time to change the LEDs but it would be nice to have the option of upgrading or changing them whenever.

  • Quick question... I got a 20Gl long, 30in*12in*12in... do you think one of these fixturs would have enough spread for wall to wall corals or would all the light be centralized right under the fixture?

  • @TizocProductions I don't know if you could successfully do wall to wall corals in that long of a tank but you could try an aquascape that leaves 5 inches of swimming room on both ends of the tank.

  • @Jruberti I could have sworn I replied to the earlier today. I have both a Reefkeeper Lite and Elite. If you have a Reefkeeper I or II you'd be out of luck. On the newer Reefkeepers you'd need the RKM-ALC module which has two 0-10v control lines.

  • @Jruberti I have both the ReefKeeper Lite and ReefKeeper Elite on two different tanks. They would both be able to control the lite with the purchase of the RKM-ALC. The ALC has two 1-10v control outputs.

  • @MarineDepotVideos Awesome, thanks!

  • @MustangDude66 It definitely has a solid design and is extremely well built. I think I read somewhere that the old head of Nano Customs works for JBJ now, so that would explain it!
