Nice to see a few fair observers here in the comments... This was no "human shield" thing ---It's a thoughtless "press' going for ratings by the usual manipulative means. And you know that the prosecutors are going to use it against him. They are going to hope to sneak a few onto the jury who saw it & are as stupid & thoughtless as some here in YouTubistan...................

Human shield my ass. He stops, opens the door, kisses his daughter good bye, and sits down to wait for what happens next. Oh, and "high speed" chase? I didn't see any high speed chase. I saw a slow "chase" and no officers in danger. It's so easy to write this off as "another scumbag" but I saw a man who was saying good bye to his child for a long time, and he knew it.
