tallest ever boxer was Väinö Myllyrinne as 8ft2. however at that hight its mutation thats the cause. Genetically a person cannot reach above 7'10.

yeas. u are right there man ! myllyrinne had this syndrome or deciese...gigantism. but usually it can be in genes...that might be a reason why there is that much persons from finland too...those three mans have blood from same place...and that rauvan jaakko (223) was relative of myllyrinne..."mutation" can be in genes. but sure it can pass many generations...and it might be that mother and father both must have this "mutation" in their genes.

I think Vaino was a leftover of the old Norse Giants. Enough of his genetics could still accommodate his Acromegalic size. You can see old footage of him walking down a boat ramp quite fast, like he's 6 ft 3, when the dude was 8 ft 3 and 460 damn pounds. And he didn't need a friggin cane. This makes me think giants his height and taller can genetically viable, and with at least decent in mobility when they're in their prime. Hence the fossil giant of Castelnau...

Why are these individuals not so tall today? Could take an anti-hormone so that they don't grow as tall so as to become incognito in the crowd. Maybe pollution too but I like the former better - they take anti-growth hormones so as to not get taller than about 7 feet high some could be much less taller.
