  • Gellner is fantastic. I've just read Postmodernism, Reason and Religion and found it very insightful.. His prose is refreshingly clear rather than simple.....and amusing.

  • Everyone needs to read more Gellner. I think the solutions he came up with for our problems are the best we can realistically implement.

  • A man of his times, with Wood Allan type humour. In prose, he was simple, French, like Pacal. But too theoretical, like Voltarian Issac Luria, that is, a Jew lost in the Kabbalah of secularism.
