She wants a relationship and the parents are not stepping up. She's seeking attention in an unacceptable way, but it's because she feels like no one WANTS to be with her. What she's doing is not okay, but she's trying to say something. Just like if someone is suicidal or threatens to kill himself, he may or may not mean it, but even if the person didn't mean it...it's a cry for something.

@fornow100000-are you one of those people that thinks that parenting is done once they are out of high school? think again!! you will alway be a parent to the child. no matter their age. there is always time to fix something. i believe that the only limiting factor is death.

Yeesh. She scares me. When she says "I would do anything," I believe her. I believe she'd skin 500 baby seals to get what she wanted.

@MissDalberg I agree wiht you. She is a little selfish brat and she is attention seeking gone mad. You can see how much her parents care for her and it breaks the family's heart to see her do it to herself.

The parents don't take any real responsibility for this. It's all Katie's fault as if she sprang an angry personality out of nowhere. She says she's doing fine now, so I wish them all the best.

Why didn't they have the bitch arrested? They've got proof that she assaulted her mother. She's issuing death threats against her sister. PUT HER IN JAIL.

OK, so she hates her mom, she now hates her dad ("what about me? what about me?"), she's beaten her sister...sounds to me like she just needs to grow up or go through a boot camp.

@LadyoftheLight totally agree. it seems katie is the hurt soul here and everyone is ganging up on her. i think it's a matter of perception. i mean i think her mom does take the passive aggressive route to hurt her daughter. if ally and the mom's relationship make katie jealous, then why does the mom side with ally and neglect katie? i think the mom has to go above the top to make up for lost time.

I do wish dr. Phil had more time to talk to the mom & dad about their ownership as well though. indulging her was one thing, but being an absent parent was the real nail in the coffin. Katie was completely honest about her part in this. I really hope she gets the healing that she deserves.

i think this girl needs to move out right ofter high school on her own. I m not saying her parents are perfect either. when she is much older may be her mohter and her can be friends again. THis girls got issues and it's too late for paretning now. SHe s gonna resent them either way & she is too stuborn to changer herself
