Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo by Alberto Figuero & Elvira Dyangani 2/2

Alberto Figuero and Elvira Dyangani are the curators of Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo CAAC. In Portos first Science and Art meeting they have introduced the centre and talked about their experience in art and science exhibitions. One of the biggest challenges of CAAC was Bios 4, curated by António Cerveira Pinto and promoted by Jose Lebrero, the director of the centre. BIOS 4 was an exhibition and a platform that made a point on the concept of biotech art. It build up an anthropological view on the relation of art with the human body, the nano-entities, the environmental issues, the artificial life and the robots and presented biotech art more as a knowledge based art and less as a techno art.
