Yep that was.......... shall we say ...........not the best Hangetsu that I've ever seen. As luck would have it, in the column right next this effort was an excellent 3 man team kata posted by Flatsand & featuring the wonderful mastery of Asai Sensei & 2 of his senior yudansha students.

very shameful to true Karate-do Martial Artist! stances are horrible the breathing techniques are bad. where is the real purpose in this!. wait teaching students wrong! I always tell my students practice makes perfect is wrong! Perfect Practice Makes Perfect!

This is a very difficult kata to do correctly. Many students begin in hangetsu dachi and forget about it about it half way through.

@semseiattale First off if your so great then post a video of your self doing it. Iv'e done Shotokan for 11 years since i was a kid. Hangsetsu is a shitty Kata anyway and its hard to make look good. For a guy to put "Sensei" on a damn youtube video shows something about yourself. I run a school too and I would never correct on videos. Not everyone can be as great as you, otherwise post a better Kata performance, if you pull it off, I would bow my head in respect. Until then watch it and enjoy.

During train sensei shouldn't count in English. It's not a kindergarten.

Awful, really awful performance of Hangetsu no two students had the same stance and the count was really bad. I do not , as a Shotokan Instructor, blame the students. They are a reflection of the Sensei.
