From a VHS tape that I own. It's Steve Jobs doing a presentation: "The Future of Objects" for OpenStep Day at Object World on August 14, 1995. Fifty minutes total running time.

  • Oh, my god.. Steve in a suit. I can't even remember if I was there or not, the NeXTWorld and ObjectWorld shows are all a hazy blur for me now.

  • Steve: "Good morning!"

    Audience: "Silence"

Seems so odd.... my entire body was expecting applause! :-O

  • @flurffmeister: I remember he was begging for a coffee from the staff just prior the start of this and they gave him one just before it started. What you are hearing is his first few sips of morning coffee :)

  • 4:10 - Fannie Mae, Chrysler, Merrill Lynch... And BT just laid off a tenth of its workforce... Wow, If only they knew then what we know now...

  • Just two years later NextStep/OpenStep were history, just about... I own a black machine, and still occasionally use it. Fantastic OS.
