A Day at the Lake on Smithville Lake near Kansas City Mo.
"A Day at the Lake" is a day for people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities to have the opportunity to get on the water in the form of boating and skiing. It provides fun and a day of normalcy for these sometimes forgotten folk and proves that they not only are still human but can still get out and have a good time and are intelligent, independent and sometimes stronger and more courageous than you might ever imagine.
It is sponsored by Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City,
Warrensburg Cycle, Ameristar Cares, The Kawasaki Corporation and many wonderful volunteers.
