A pointed sharp-attacking game that highlights why it's always a good idea to look beyond the "automatic" moves.

  • My favorite part was the knight check, where you got his rook, and the queen couldn't help out, even though it was guarding the square, because your queen guarded the knight. This is what I'm trying to teach my boy, but I still don't know how to play chess myself. Excellent video, thanks to youtube, I can at least pretend to know what I'm talking about. My son looks up to me, but I am more of a checkers dad, than a chess dad.

  • Thanks for checking out the vid and the comment sentriclecub! I remember when I first started chess and working with my son also so I completely understand how it is in the beginning, but it gets better quick! Keep me posted on how things go!

  • Thanks KJL!

  • Nice work. Ne7+ was very nice!

  • Thanks Masamune - when I saw the possibility for that I knew I could land it as long as he didn't offer up a queen trade on the bishop take.

  • Qa5 would have been good too

  • Hi, when you put your bishop to b4, your opponent could've played knight to c3,.. could you give me a solution if your opponent made this move? I was once faced with a similar situation as well.

  • ignore that dumb remark please!

  • why not Knight takes pawn on F3+ ?

  • What were white's mistake(s) that led it to its loss?

  • Very bad played by white!

  • great ownage, 5 stars.

  • Hi,

Some questions, why your not playing Qxd3 after his/her weak Bd2? (...kC3! Bxc3-bxc3 +=) And why your opponent playes moves like Kf3 (Qf3!) and Rg1 (Rc1!) and what to think of gxf3 (Qxf3!) Nothing offensive but i think you just played a 5 year old girl.
