  • I have never been a fan of Pappano, and I agree with what you say.

  • I am also a musician. His tempi are VERY slow but after all he must be credited for trying hard and being very good sport.  It is noteworthy that the professional conductor Antonio Pappano also momentarily conducted a waltz in "four" instead of three in an appalling TV broadcast from Naples Italy some time ago.

  • I'm a violinist and I have actually played this piece in orchestra. If he was conducting me I think I would want to shoot myself. However, good effort.

  • i was in the audience at this concert, my god it was so funny :p

  • I'm getting visions of Alan Sugar with a zimmer frame for some reason. Can't think why.
