Love working the Spladle in a rassling match. Once it's locked on, the guy's not getting out of it. Can keep him under control for as long as you want and make him hurt a lot. He may struggle for a while, but he'll eventually settle down. They always do. Then I slowly muscle down and make him beg before I let him go. Like a Guillotine for the same reason. Both are great, tight submission holds.

well, experiencing this in a match is way different than practicing the move in training. Happily i haven't experienced it; on the contrary i use it against opponents and i enjoy having them there suffering.....
For how long were you trapped into that hold?

you said you were suffering in the spladle for 2 minutes! That must be really painful.... Have you been struggling to escape or just waited in pain and agony for the end of the match? And, tell me what happened when the match was over: were you able to walk out of the mat?

This is definately a painful hold, depending on the flexibility of the "victim".There is no way out of that hold and leads to the pin in most cases.
