Please give your opinion, which is the best sound between

Yamaha PSR-E423 or Yamaha DGX-230?

Which is the best sound between Yamaha or Roland keyboard in same or simmilar price ?

423 is better than the dgx, but roland are usually superior sound than yamaha

@burubura no, but more style, more storage, more everything but same sound

I amjust learning to play by ear and have a psr 295. Would I be much better off with a psr 423?

@MyAitch the 423 is better because you can add song from your PC and I don't believe you can with the 295, if you are able to do that, save your money and if you still like to play in a year or so go with the Yamaha motif

@HarryLiddle.. yes you can use it with your mac for record with garage band or logic studio if you want.. you can use a mixer and connect with the line in.. or use as a midi controller using the usb cable...

@MrNailpurple Among the major synth brands, there is no 'one sounds better'. Shop for features that YOU like.

If this will be your first keyboard, buy the E423. It is PHENOMENAL for about $200! You won't find a Roland Anything for 4X the price.

I own several synth and classic keyboards, but sometimes I'll gig with just my Nord Electro and my E403 (predecessor to E423) We just played a houseparty and all I took was took was the little Yamaha. It's light,and that good!
