I didn't know he could play like this. In this recording he's up there with anything Horowitz did in terms of nuances of tone colour and dynamics, beautiful sounds (esp. the pianissimos), and rubatos that make the piece live.

oh my God, I didnt know this pianist... he is sensational! I love very much the Barcarolla of Evgeny Kissin. But now this one fascinates me very much. He is a really great artist. Thanks for linking

My first choice for this work, along with Lipatti. A special performance. Overall, it's one of the slowest ever recorded but he justifies absolutely every fraction of every second. From around 6:20 onwards, it's beyond perfection.
