i cant use my skills, why is this?

@DarkProject Germans make great RPGs. I prefer them to western American RPGs. I don't play JRPGs, don't like the way they play (hate their grinding).
-
@Forkhead21 But (for me) its waaaay better :)
-
@13x1x20 Where you playing on normal? anyway, the first part of the demo is to show off the flashy skills, i don't think you can play the game on hard or nightmare difficulty with a fresh char without pausing all the time.
I'm actually getting another DAO playthrough for DA2, and i must say, playing on hard as a Templar Defender is very powerfull, i haven't yet had a single wipe. Don't worry about difficulty, i'm sure they will always add nightmare mode for suicidal people xd

Well... but i have played the DA2. And that's the impression it gave me.
Definitely not the spiritual successor of BG Bioware was talking about.
And it's not even a surprise. Now that Bioware also wants to attract CoD and Farmville players (i refer to some of their latest statements here).
I think it would be too much for a Youtube comment to point out all the things i consider dumbed down in DA2 but get this:
In the entire demo i had to use the pause option once i think.

@13x1x20 Wasn't talking about DA2, and I do believe that DAO is hands down a better game than Drakensang
It's not that drakensang is a bad game it's just the feeling I get when playing it.
It seems like they blew most of their budget on making the game look visual appealing while making gameplay(among other things) suffer horribly
-
@13x1x20 Spoken like someone who hasn't played DA2 demo.
It's not dumbed down, you can still play top down classic way. It's just flashy with over the top moves, but that doesn't take away from the rpg, it actually makes it les dull.
-
Dumbed down version of DA?
I think the game you're talking about is DA2.
Jokes aside:
If you look at the demos of both DA2 and DS2 i could hardly understand how anyone with a little sanity left in his body could prefer DA2.
Seriously: I don't want to mock the original DA but if you are really interested in a spirtual legacy of the classic RPG genre stick with this game.

This game is fantastic - having a ton of fun with it. It shares a lot in common with Dragon Age, but I find it more interesting across the board. It's not so gray and dreary, and the story and loot are both vastly more interesting, and great boss fights, classes, and music. Also, graphically the game looks really nice, especially the characters (which look much nicer than DA). The only crappy thing is the really bad voice acting. I'm on the quest in this video right now, loving it.
@DarkProject Also keep in mind that no COD or HALO playing 12 yo is going to bother with DAO or DA2, one of those fags, my friends little brother, skips all cutscenes of every game he plays, they won't bother with any RPG. And the 12yo fags that do buy the game, will prolly return it in after 10 min of gameplay and 1 hour of talking, as is custom in bioware games
But have to state that Germans know their RPGs well, dark eye was great, and river of time is probably even better (havent played yet)
