This is the Leishem Jagoi, which is the dance about creation. Both Khamba Thoibi and Leishem Jagoi is a folk dance and traditional dance thousands of years old, where as Ras Leela is Classical Dance, with the other Manipuri dances as basis, was designed by Bhaagyachandra, the then king of Manipur (in the 17th century)

Can somebody please explain how this is different from the manipuri classical dance (which I believe depicts the Ras Leela of Radha & Krishna) ? It looks like this folk dance (and the story of Khamba & Thoibi) served the basis for the classical dance. Is this true ?
