Here is my raw video of the launch of Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-133) on February 24, 2011. In this video there is no NASA communications overlayed (like the other version I uploaded), so in this version you can just hear it as I heard it.

You will notice how long it takes for the roar of the launch to reach us at the press site (3.1 miles away). Also at the end of the video you will hear everyone cheer. They are cheering the successful Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) separation.

  • I love the girl in the green shirt walking in front of the camera, seemingly unaffected by one of the most impressive things anyone can witness. What a shame...

  • Check out that UFO at 2:28! moving right to left. That moves WAY too fast to be a bird, and it disappears at points, suggesting it's far enough away to get covered by the cloud. Not to mention, no birds would even come near this!
