Either Skunk is so out-of-touch with guitar technology that he missed the Variax 600 last decade; or he's faking his excitement. Did anyone else cringe at the prospect of the mic picking up the guitar's standard-tuned acoustic sound while he was demoing the outputted altered tunings? That'll ruin first impressions in a hurry.

@LessThanProfessional The existence of the product proves you wrong. The product exists for a market for people who would disagree if they knew who you were. It's possible the digital-modeling market "shouldn't" exist; but it's more-likely that your attitude is unwarranted and/or obsolete and/or irrelevant.

@secretagentYTer I heard it was from his college days, shall we say his rear end is quite copious in producing Methane?

holy shit its wilford brimley! the diabetus guy! yeah fuck sound modeling I mean im ok with compressed and fake sounding pickups (regular emgs) , but now its getting too digital sounding wheather you go with Line 6 to fractal no one will give you that legit tone , go with a marshall, engl , mesa...ect and analog pedals.... now if you're starting off absolutely go with modeling amps and processors.

Roland partnered with Fender awhile back on what was called their VG Strat. It was discontinued. Could this be Strike2 for Fender and Roland hmmmm?

Jeff SCUMBAGster... :D
I don't like the direction music has been going lately. The big thing now is to develop "sound modeling" devices that can make any instrument sound like any other instrument. At first glace, it sounds great, but I feel it quickly takes out a musician's uniqueness in tone. Call me a traditionalist, but I like the feeling of slowly developing your sound and style, then sticking with it. When you can quickly change your sound to anything different you loose appreciation of the sound you had before.

Great guitar for someone in a cover band that needs to play 40 different tunes in a night and doesn't want to haul around five different guitars to play them all.
