  • what you guys don't know is that the car ended up going 12.31 @ 108mph that night...

the car now has a mild cammed full-bolt on ls1

  • throw that engine away and get the 307

  • i agree i did it to my 89 305 aluminum heads mild cam Bigger intake flat pistons headers roller rockers msd all the way n well i kept up with a gto 6.0 like right next to each other ...im not bullshitting but since THIS IS THE INTERNET..people wont believe until they see it!! oh n MY MARO IS T..B...I

yup BIg PROPS dude dont let other put u down!!

  • speed is just a question of how much you want to spend

  • and another thing this guy runs now low 12s, and he is using iron heads, not vortec heads either, he is not using the best possible heads... which i have found to be the 175 trickflows... small pport, good air flow etc etc... but i will be getting started after i pay some fines, oops... and i will keep you posted...

  • i think it is possible, i have heard that EVERY small block chevy has gone sub ten seconds, i think it can be done. And a good 305 block can handle as much as a 350 block, considering it is a two bolt block, the walls are not any different, only main difference is that the 305 will naturally run cooler, due to more space between cylinders, because the bore spacing does not change, it has always remained a 4.4 inches from center to center...

  • but when compared to others it cost way to much money. and they are weaker. (walls and such) you would have to have it machined to a 4 bolt main.

  • Hey man i give you mad credit for trying. I have had many people tell me its impossible.

add me as friend and let me know how it goes.

  • im building a 305 for my 86 camaro... hoping to get into the 11s with it many people tell me its not possible... but watching this video makes me sure it can be done... i will be using fully ported trickflow 175cc heads an xfi268 cam with a stealth ram intake... and the other obvious necessities... suspension, chassis, etc... i think it can be done without nos or forced induction...

  • 305 can be beefy engines..i got the tpi one
