I originally wanted to make this video as soon after her death as possible, and wanted to use R. Kelly's "World's Greatest" as it fit her personality, but I needed a lot more pictures than i had, though I tried working with it for a while, in the end I wouldn't even have been able to produce a cut version. So I had to find a new song.

I thought of this song last night and wondered if it could work as well, I think it also fits since like any good dog, she wanted her people to be happy, and if she were here that's what she'd still want. Things fell together really well and by the end of the evening I had this done. I also like how this song had a somehow Hollywood, theatrical feel to it's style, which I think related well to Bailey since she was quite the ham and enjoyed preforming very much with her wide array of tricks and big personality.

even though she passed months ago, for me this was a big part of the parting process, I couldn't think about her without thinking how I hadn't finished her tribute yet, so now that it's done, I feel like things are truly complete now.

- Technicalities -
I acknowledge that I do not own the song used in this video, and that the artists associated with it are in no way associated with this video.

Song: "Smile"
Performer: Josh Groban
Original Writer: Charlie Chaplin

  • I can't believe it's now been a year. I came on to see the video on the day of her death but was to emotional to write a response! I sure do miss her though!... 'oOOo'

  • she was, one of those one-in-a-millions, she was so smart, and in our opinion at least, it shows in her photos a lot, good "puppy raiser" to, mainly with our friend's service dogs that she trained, Bailey was like a Sensei figure to them or role model pretty much. she'd boss them around, but she was also very protective and watchful.

  • I 'am in tears now!... Oh the beloved memories of all that we had shared!... She, and our Dannie Sue are together in Heaven!... What a wonderful tribute 'Nessa... again an awesome video! 'oOOo'
