Just a small video of my truck after i washed it. 94 2500 4x4 Dodge with a Cummins. 241k miles. Mods are:

Fueling: #0 plate, 4k GSK, 191 Delivery Valves, 215 injectors(stock out of a 5spd truck), 16* timing

Air: HE351cw(04.5+ 3rd gen turbocharger), 4" exhaust into 6" stack, K&N cone filter

Transmission: Stock 47rh Automatic with a Goerend Triple Disc torque converter(800/300 stall), Goerend Valve body, Billet Input shaft, and Suncoast Flexplate.

Nothing real special just a fun daily driver/hauler.

  • Ok..The TC stall... How does this work? U just dont go over that rpm and the truck will build boost? Holding the brake obiously...

  • TC stall is hard to measure on a diesel. Its supposed to be the RPM the engine pulls to with your foot on the brake, no wheels spinning, and the engine at wide open throttle. However, since everyone runs different turbo's/power etc, the same converter will stall much differently in every truck. My 350hp truck will spool the turbo and stall it to probably 2200rpm or so. However a 600hp truck with a big single turbo may never light the charger and only get to 1400rpm with the same converter.

  • @12VCTD I did dyno it with the stock turbo. It made 337hp/772tq then. Id say its making just a touch more now, but not a lot. Maybe 350/800.

  • why would 215s be to big? they are stock injectors from bosch, and are on the 96-98 12v with manual trannys. same turbo only difference is slightly more powerfull full pump. i dont plan on doing ANYTHING performance wise other than 215s cause they where much cheaper than any of the (stock to my truck 180 injectors) that i could find for my truck. (i paid 150.00 shipped for 215s off ebay) used of course. cleaned/pop tested great shape. going in soon.

  • @kalashnikovnut 215's will be fine. These guys dont know what 215's are and thats why they think they are too big. They arent 215hp over stock, they are maybe 20-40hp over stock. Put them in and enjoy them.

  • Hey im lookin to run the same turbo for a while on my 95 12v with almost the same exact set up. what kind of egt ruduction did you see with running the he351 instead the hx35? is it worth doing the turbo swap?

  • ( this is my new e-mail. forgot my old password to kalashnikovnut) the 215s have been in for a while now no issues, along with 4 inch straight pipe, bhaf, boost elbow set at 25psi, mandrel bent intake horn, stock fuel plate slid full forward, and hts valve body, and autometer guages. tranny is stock other than hts valve body and is just fine no issues. tranny gets an oil change every 18,000 miles its well cared for, think thats why it works so well with the go fast sfuff. truck has 310,000 miles

  • @kalashnikovnut They might kill the trans, if it hasn't ever been rebuilt. Just depend on its condition. My '97 could barely hold stock power, let alone the TST 10 plate, 370 marines and HX40 I threw at it. LOL The 215s would add about the same amount of power as the TST 10 plate.

  • @upinsmoke945 You'll kind of be going backwards with an HX40 from the HE351CW, unless you add too much fuel for it. The 40 already has a 60mm comp wheel. The HX40 has MUCH more lag than the 351 you have. Only real thing you gain is the larger exducer of the 40, over the smaller one in the 351, to go with the 4" turbine outlet. The S300 turbos are MUCH better than the HX40. Been there, done that.

  • Where did you get those rims an tires from? They're really nice.
