The President of Ireland Mary McAleese visited the small town of Lismore,Co.Waterford in 2004,to unveil a plaque after the town's tidy town group won the national best tidy town award.
On a recent visit to a ciy hospital she asked why the wards were so long and narrow, "Oh these are not wards mam was the answer, these are corrridors, but then again you wouldn't know anything about that would you?"
