One of my favorite 2005 games, once Julyzerg starts the lings rush he doesn't stop, for long minutes the rush continues, it really seems to last forever! always 4 waves of lings on the move toward Oov's base, July spends every mineral he has on the rush and Oov spending every mineral he has on blocking it, and both players break dead-even after every wave- only to start the next one again.

Oov has to use every last bit of micro skills he can master in order to stop the attacks from doing more damage than he can handle coming for the next wave that arrives yet again.

Some very tense minutes of battle! (I can tell you that watching it Live was a real thrill), the player who came out victorious in this game- also came through in the remaining games and won the OSL champion title.

@aeee Savior had 220ish spm and he kicked oov's asses 10 times at least.

@blanknblank1 I refer to this moment 8:14. Why did he have to make 2 firebat. He just need one plus one medic. A bat + dic + 2 scv in the choke pretty much block the ling much more easily, especially with stim. Afterward he just need to make another bat, 1 more medic then push out slowly. Iloveoov was pretty much the best player at that time but the game sense has developed along the year. TRust me, if it was FLash in this situation, he would handle it with much more faster.

if he did that then the lings would have overrun him quick. Notice when he had 2 barracks, one firebat went down as another came out. He didn't have time to made a medic and fend off lings.

there's been alot about apm discussion here but here's the thing. if you're going to play on their level, you're going to need to be fast. and by fast, im talking above 250apm at least.
