The Founding Fathers were of many different faiths. Some were Christian and others were Deists. The fact remains that they created a secular Constitution that respects all religions and guarantees the right not to hold a religious belief.

its funny how all christian lunitics claim the founding fathers were born again christians or jahovva wittnesses they were deists and agnostics and free thinkers who belived in god but not christ!get over it pat robertson!

@megaman4life Yes they were Christian...52 of the 55 founders were Christian....The devil is always hard at work and very good at deceiving people! How dare these liberals state this nation did not have a Christian beginning as it did. That's what made us special and the reason we have lasted but now we are losing freedoms and being taxed to death and are deeply in debt---thanks A lot progressives and Obama! YOU rotten usurpers!

@eveningcoconut76 It could not have been signed by "Senator" John Adams. If you know your history you would know that when George Washington was president. John Adams was his vice president!

Feb,1811,vetoed a bill to give Church funding for schools,etc b/c it violated the 1st amendment,Congress agreed. March,'11, vetoed giving a church governmt land,same reason. Congress debated,+ agreed.

The sad thing is that the Founding fathers were in fact chirstian. They had prayer meets before a session and everything. All anyone has to do is look it up. In 1930 this was in every textbook. However, the liberals who write the textbooks didn't like it so they decided to change it in the late 1900's 1940 and up. TH eliberals who write the textbooks have to learn that you can't change history it is like with the holocaust IT DID HAPPEN!!! YOu can't escape that FACT something that can be proved

Some Founding Fathers were Christian. Some were certainly not (Franklin and Paine can both be described as deist at best). However, that is beside the point. The Fathers created a secular government when they could have set up a theocracy. "So help me God" could have been included in the Presidential oath in the Constitution... it is not.

I'm not sure that that has been proven. It has been brought up as a possibility. I've heard that it's called "fragging"- maybe, one day, we'll know the whole truth behind his death. It seems to be hush, hush now...

I understand that the Treaty of Tripoly was written while Washington was president and was signed by Senator John Adams. You're right, the video says "penned" and I should have typed "signed by"- I would like some more info on the "fake" Washington quote. I got my info from "Fighting Words" by Robin Morgan.
